Periodic Monitoring

Key Benefits
Capabilities
I
In 1997, APT introduced its Portable Monitoring Division to
address the growing demand for periodic compliance monitoring.
Today’s
regulatory emphasis on continual compliance assurance has forced many
companies (particularly in the natural gas gathering and transmission
industry) to conduct periodic (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, etc.) checks
on compressor engines, turbines, generators, heaters, and boilers.
The Portable
Monitoring Division test teams use electrochemical, multi-component gas
analyzers to quickly and accurately meet these new requirements.
With our
custom-designed sample conditioning and flow control system, teams have the
capability to test as many as 10 units per day.
Each test team is equipped with a full array of calibration gases in a
single four wheel drive vehicle maintaining its own power supply. This
setup has
proven to be
considerably more efficient and cost effective than the use of
reference method test equipment. Our field calibration and testing
procedures and reporting formats meet or exceed the requirements set forth
by the various state compliance agencies.
APT Online Reporting
allows for the test team to remain in the field while electronic data are
transferred to the home office for report generation. These data are
reviewed and uploaded to a secure website for access by clients 24 hours a
day, usually in five days or less.
By setting up an online database of permits and source testing
requirements, APT can manage your scheduling and assure all required testing is performed.
This allows clients to manage and monitor the status of their testing
programs without the worry of scheduling conflicts and regulatory
notifications.
APT is currently teamed with over 25 natural gas companies,
and scheduling the testing of over one thousand source tests annually.
An additional benefit to APT's
clients is the option of utilizing the low-cost portable emissions test to
determine the compliance status of a source prior to a formal compliance test or in support of permit
modifications.
